Rhyann Mackenzie

Physiotherapist

Rhyann Mackenzie is a Physiotherapist at Caloundra Sportscare, supporting children, adolescents and families across Caloundra and the Sunshine Coast, QLD. Rhyann graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast with a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science in 2012, before completing her Master of Physiotherapy Studies at the University of Queensland. She brings an enthusiastic, evidence-based approach to helping young people move better and participate confidently in everyday life.

Rhyann has a strong interest in paediatric physiotherapy, working with children from toddlers through to adolescence. She supports the development of fine and gross motor skills, coordination and balance, postural awareness and overall strength so children can better engage in school, sport and play. This includes working with NDIS participants, where therapy is practical, goal-focused and aligned with each family’s and child’s functional needs. Rhyann is passionate about helping each child and young adult reach their fullest potential through play-based and exercise-based therapy.

She also treats adolescent musculoskeletal injuries, helping young people recover from sport-related or growth-related injuries and safely return to activity. Sessions focus on manual therapy and taping for symptom relief, education, load-management and progressive exercise programs.

Alongside her paediatric work, Rhyann takes individual and group-based clinical Pilates for individuals who are new to exercising, those recovering from both acute and chronic injuries, pre and post-natal mothers, balance and falls prevention, and general strength and conditioning.
